Founded by Peter Brown in 1981, P.S Brown Construction was a small independent building company until Severe Tropical Cyclone Bola hit New Zealand’s North Island and changed the course of history for our business.
In response to extensive damage caused by one of our nation’s most costly cyclones, we now stand proud as an established, trusted, financially secure construction company —a success story born out of tragedy.
The Journey
For six unforgettable weeks, I assessed and provided on-the-spot quotes for everyday Kiwis whose lives had been devastated by tragedy.
It was both heartbreaking yet deeply satisfying to bring some light back into their world; crafted from destruction emerged rejuvenation.
The experience of helping people rebuild their homes and property and mend shattered dreams was immensely fulfilling.
It brought home just how powerful it can be to create small moments of hope in difficult times.
